Against the Rules 5 (3)

Story Image

Jimin and Jungkook have one simple Christmas rule: small, thoughtful presents only. No grand gestures.
But when a crowded Seoul department store and old memories of their first freezing dorm … the rule doesn’t stand a chance.

In this canon-adjacent JiKook Christmas story, Jungkook can’t stop looking back at how far they’ve come – from seven boys sharing one tiny room and convenience store t-shirts, to platinum necklaces and birthday trips to Tokyo. Jimin worries about headlines, haters and how it all looks from the outside. Jungkook just wants to take care of the love of his life in the only way he knows how: big heart, big gifts, bigger feelings.

This Christmas romance finds Jk and Jimin at the mall doing Christmaas shopping but with a rule. Jk breaks the rule and gets coughs and Jimin finds himself getting a heavy heart. Thankfully they have good communication and they find themselves back on track and loving each other all the more.

The more I read this story, the more I appreciate it. It’s an inspiration to grow more and love more.
So real and wholesome with its detailed build-up and navigating the ‘difficulty’ TOGETHER.
Something seemingly simple like buying gifts revealed the maturity of this relationship. Loved their thoughtful interactions slowly unravelling vulnerabilities and then always choosing authenticity.
So precious and loving told.
Priceless read indeed.

A lovely story that softly stirred my emotions and left a gentle lump in my throat as I read. The scenes born from CJ’s imagination feel vivid and tender, yet so true to life.
I cherished every moment of reading — and I gladly return to these stories a second and even third time, simply to feel that warmth again.
