I read this story early on when I was just getting to know CJ’s storytelling so the writing felt intensely new and amplified.
The following had struck me so much that it was what I remembered the most from this story:
‘Despite the hard work, Jungkook’s first instinct was to put it in the bin. Anything that was emotionally harmful to Jimin had no place in their life’…
The way there were love stories, I thought this one was a ‘care story’. It was told with much attentive care and solid, holding space to unravel Jimin’s worries. So inspiring and yet grounded.
‘Such things exist’ was one of my first thoughts.
It reminded me a bit of ‘Against the Rules’ but the other way round.
A read to cherish.
An amazing story centered on a dedicated, hardworking but stressed Jimin getting caught by his loved one, while working on his secret journalling. Luckily Jk gets to the bottom of things and gets Jimin back on track.
