Loved this story’s quietness and domesticity.
Like a gentle permission for me as well to sit quietly and comfortably with all that was and is.
Felt very real with the painful memories of the past and the loving embrace in the now.
And in between, that emotional and physical heaviness pressing on them from the outside world gradually unwinding amidst the soft reminiscence and confessions.
Don’t know if I’ve ever been so touched by a simple yet infinitely meaningful phrase like ‘looking loved’.
Choosing each other, choosing us.
A story to choose and not just on New Year’s Eve.
