Such a moving story that reads like a vivid high-resolution snapshot of a long album of shared history.
While the gentle emotional unravelling of painful memories was definitely one of the highlights for me, it also made me think about the paradox how you could know someone inside out and yet, not able to anticipate everything, every time.
The mystery of the known. The every-day of the unknown.
The resolution was beautiful and only strengthened their bond.
So the same way there’re Christmas stories and summer season stories, there’re birthday stories.
And this is a shining example of them to cherish – and re-read on birthdays.
