A story about second chances and choosing to trust.
It’s easy to trust when you haven’t been hurt but it’s a totally different matter when you’ve been.
This story artfully brings up these brief, albeit crucial, moments that decide the fate of a relationship amidst emotional turmoil, insecurities and remorse.
Still, if some loves are destined and fate offers synchronistic encounters, isn’t pure hubris and stubbornness to turn away from the second chance?
What this story highlighted for me was the main role past hurt, betrayal, loss can play in this – so much so that it can almost sabotage the second chance.
Ultimately, though, when the connection is so soul-deep, it hurts even more to let the chance pass by – not to be seen again.
Unexpectedly deep read and so worth it.
